St. Simons Sound Incident responders conduct tests of the anchor moorings using the TUG KURT CROSBY on Sept. 23, 2020. The anchor-hauling tug was brought in to set the array of anchor moorings for the VB 10,000 heavy lift crane. The next phase of response operations consist of cutting the Golden Ray wreck into sections using the VB 10,000 heavy lift crane inside an environmental protection barrier and then load and secure those sections on barges to be transported.
